WE ARE CURRENTLY IN SEARCH OF A VARSITY BOYS LACROSSE COACH!

We are in search of a Varsity boys High School coach that will promote and uphold our
mission statement while fulfilling the duties and responsibilities described below.


MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of the Crown Point Lacrosse club shall be to provide student athletes and families with an opportunity
to develop their lacrosse skills in a safe environment that promotes personal growth and excellence while fostering
teamwork, leadership, scholarship, and respect for others and self. In addition, to develop players skill in a
competitive environment that prepares them to compete and contribute to the best of their abilities during their years
of playing for Crown Point Lacrosse Club and beyond.

 

JOB SUMMARY:
The Head Men’s Coach is responsible for managing all phases of a competitive IHSLA lacrosse program. Duties
include coaching, organizing and planning both game and practice strategies, and scheduling. As CP Lacrosse is a
club, the Head Coach is expected to have employment outside the club but will collect a stipend. The Head Coach is
overseen by and accountable to the CP Lacrosse Board.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Advises and directs all squad members, captains, team representative and managers.                                                                                                
  • Schedules and arranges all practices and competitions.
  • Prepares a schedule that complies with state and club regulations.
  • Supervises all assistant coaches.
  • Promote team ideology over individual achievements.
  • Organizes and conducts effective training sessions.
  • Demonstrates a high level of leadership, sportsmanship, and personal and ethical conduct.
  • Attends all required IHSLA coaches meetings.
  • Communicates and cooperates with the training staff regarding athlete medical clearance, injury prevention, rehabilitation and the status of injured athletes.
  • Submits game and practice requests to the City of Crown Point facility manager and time usage requests.
  • Coordinates cardio and weight training with SMI.
  • Participates in monthly board meetings at the Board’s request.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge

and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
